Congratulations to RHB copywriter Ryan Millbern and his band The Here Now,
for their third place finish in Indy Music Scene's Battle of the Bands. The competition included 40 bands from across Indiana and 10 weeks of shows, culminating in the finals on November 8.

Richard Harrison Bailey/The Agency and our clients were recently recognized for stellar accomplishments in not-for-profit marketing by a number of organizations:
Graphis, The International Journal of Visual Communication, included Richard Harrison Bailey/The Agency in DesignersUSA2, a prestigious design annual showcasing 50 of the nation’s top design firms. RHB accepted this honor, submitting award-winning work created in collaboration with Mossberg & Company Inc., Sweet Briar College, Saint Mary’s College of California, Beta Theta Pi Fraternity, Roberts Wesleyan College, Chi Omega Fraternity, Warner Pacific College, Alma College, Arts Everywhere, Illinois Institute of Technology and Gordon College.
The Apogee Society, which recognizes outstanding results achieved by small and mid-size agencies for clients, has granted a number of awards to RHB. In the “Educational (College or University)” category, RHB won:
- First Place, as well as Best of Category, for the “Think is for Girls” campaign created with Sweet Briar College
- First Place for the “Your Adventurous Life” campaign created with Gordon College
- First Place for the “Unforgettable” campaign created with the University of South Florida
- First Place for the “Ever Wonder” campaign created with Warner Pacific College
- First Place for the “Your Hanover Story” campaign created with Hanover College
The ADDY Awards are the world’s biggest advertising competition. Held by the American Advertising Federation, the ADDY Awards review over 60,000 entries every year from across the globe. In 2008, RHB won a Marketing & Advertising Club of Michiana Silver ADDY for the design of RHB’s invitation to an event held for the National Association of College Admissions Counselors.
The Admissions Marketing Report, a monthly magazine covering the field of admissions marketing, has held a competition for the past 23 years recognizing the quality, creativity and message effectiveness of the programs and materials of design firms across the nation. The AMR bestows a limited number of “Best of Show” awards. RHB earned one of these prestigious awards for the Annual Report created for the University of Illinois. In addition, RHB won:
- Gold in the “Television Ad/Single” category for “Quiz” created for Alma College
- Silver in the “Student Viewbook” category for the Messiah College Viewbook
- Silver in the “Brochure” category for an Outcomes Piece created for Westmont College
- Silver in the “Direct Mail Ad” category for the Sophomore/Junior Postcard Series created for Gordon College
- Silver in the “Annual Report” category for the University of Illinois Annual Report
- Merit in the “Total Recruitment Package” category for the “Ever Wonder…” campaign created for Warner Pacific College
- Merit in the “Student Viewbook” category for the “Unforgettable” campaign created for the University of South Florida
