Pass by Meg’s office, and you might see her sitting with her fingers in her ears, mumbling to herself. But it’s not that she’s coming unhinged; she simply loves listening to the sounds of words and working with the rhythm of language.

Before joining RHB as a copywriter, Meg earned a Ph.D. in English at Louisiana State University, where she taught composition and literature courses for three years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English and German from Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Dr. Barrett also has experience as a freelance writer and as an editor and proofreader.

Meg loves watching her favorite sports teams (geaux Tigers!), as well as playing sports herself. And though she’s been known to succumb to the lure of reality television (she’s convinced she could win The Amazing Race), she holds much higher standards when it comes to her voracious reading.
