The Dan Saracino Chair of Enrollment Management

RHB is delighted to announce the establishment of the Dan Saracino Chair of Enrollment Management in recognition of Dan’s leadership in advancing the industry of enrollment management. As well, we recognize his achievements that serve as inspiration to generations of higher education enrollment professionals. The Saracino Chair presents an opportunity for seasoned, current enrollment management professionals, who have achieved success and recognition for superior performance, to offer counsel to other institutions facing enrollment challenges. Typically held by a working professional, the Saracino Chair engages in a variety of consultative services expanding the expertise of the RHB team.

During his more than 50 years of working in higher education, Dan Saracino served as the chief enrollment officer at Santa Clara University and the University of Notre Dame, his alma mater. Dan has served in leadership roles in professional organizations at the state, regional and national levels, including the College Board and a three-year term as the President of the National Association for College Admission Counseling. As such Dan was instrumental in building the foundation for enrollment management as a profession. In recent years he has served on the National Merit, the Lilly Foundation, the Brunswick Corporation and the Coca-Cola Scholarship Committees. Dan also visits international schools and military base secondary schools on behalf of the U.S. State Department and the Department of Defense. In 2012, upon completion of his tenure at Notre Dame, Dan joined the RHB team serving as a senior consultant. Dan’s influence on the RHB team elevated an understanding of and appreciation for the dynamics of enrollment management leadership.

Ken Anselment, Vice President for Enrollment and Communication at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, is the first recipient of the Saracino Chair. Anselment’s background in enrollment management spans nearly 30 years beginning at his alma mater, Marquette University, where he served as Senior Assistant Dean of Admissions and lecturer in the English department before joining Lawrence in 20o4 as Director of Admissions. He was appointed Dean of Admissions & Financial Aid in 2011, and shortly thereafter was elevated to his current role. Ken is the host of the Admissions Leadership Podcast (ALP), a series of conversations with enrollment leaders around the world. Anselment has held leadership roles in a variety of professional organizations including NACAC (both state and national levels), Colleges that Change Lives, and YMCA of the Fox Cities.

In his role at RHB, Anselment will be available for select diagnostic, planning and workshop engagements related to enrollment and communications, budgeting and planning, consultant optimization, trustee collaboration and coherent strategies for marketing.
