RHB Reconfigures Leadership Structure

Rick Bailey, principal of RHB, announced changes to the firm’s leadership team. Tamara Bailey, founding partner and CFO of the firm, has been named Chief Executive Officer. Tammy and Rick launched RHB in April of 1991 to serve the marketing needs of not-for-profit organizations and institutions. Mrs. Bailey was instrumental in focusing the firm’s expertise on higher education in 2007. Her leadership in management of operations including personnel and fiscal responsibilities reflects in the company’s growth throughout the firm’s 28-year history. Her new role will expand her responsibilities to provide oversight to of the firm’s strategic plan and operations. As part of his announcement, Rick Bailey added that Tammy is now principal shareholder of the firm. Tammy is a graduate of Spring Arbor University where she serves as a trustee. 

Mr. Bailey further announced that Sam Waterson has been named President of RHB. Waterson is currently Executive Vice President and Creative Director for the firm. His new responsibilities will include management of marketing technology integrations, marketing communications and growth strategies for colleges and universities.

Waterson joined RHB in 2001 as an intern while completing his undergraduate degree at Franklin College (IN). Following graduation, he worked at the firm in account management, later became responsible for ethnographic work at the firm and co-invented The Major Key, a SaaS product. He was named Executive Vice President and Creative Director in 2010.

A native of northern California, Waterson moved to Indiana in 1997 to attend Franklin College studying journalism and public relations in the Pulliam School.  He also holds a certificate of distinction from Cornell University for his completion of studies in digital marketing. He has served on the board of the Alumni Association of Franklin and as an advisor for local businesses. He is married to Laura and the couple have three children.
